Visiting Kinzua Bridge State Park? Take a photography tour.

Kathleen Prosperi-McClard is a photographer who, in addition to being a juried artisan member of the Wilds Cooperative of Pennsylvania, is able to take individuals and groups out on educational photography tours at Kinzua Bridge State Park. She received a commercial use license from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources -- which manages the state park -- to provide these opportunities.

‘Creative Makers of the PA Wilds’ heading to Wellsboro this December

Those visiting the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center in Wellsboro, PA, December 2018 through February 2019 will be treated to the Creative Makers Exhibit in the Atrium Gallery. An exhibit that highlights some of the artisans involved in the Wilds Cooperative of Pennsylvania and their work.

Enjoy ‘Holiday in the Wilds’ at Kinzua Bridge State Park on December 1

Take in the views and beauty of Kinzua Bridge State Park, and then find some regionally-made gifts and souvenirs at the Holiday in the Wilds event set for Saturday, Dec. 1. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., artisans will be displaying their wares. Visitors will also be welcome to peruse items inside the PA Wilds Conservation Shop.

Recently, Ta Enos toured an old building in a downtown area along Route 6 in Pennsylvania Wilds that is being improved by the owners, a young couple who moved home to rural PA a few years ago to start a business. The building is like a lot of others in rural downtowns across the region – a shell of what it once was. On Saturday, October 20, the PA Wilds Conservation Shop at Kinzua Bridge State Park will host a “Fall Marketplace-Cornucopia of Craftsmanship” event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A variety of unique and handcrafted and locally-made gifts will be available, along with a food truck offering local fare.

New Moonshine Book Reflects the Can-Do Rebel Spirit of the PA Wilds

With the release of 'Moonshine: A Celebration of America’s Original Rebel Spirit,' John Schlimm II has now written 18 books while living in the Pennsylvania Wilds. Spanning culinary and entertaining, inspirational memoir, how-to, history, educational, good works, essays, beer, and now moonshine— Schlimm's works draw breath from the forests, dirt roads, and bars from this region.
