Historic Charm

Literally referred to as “The town that saved Christmas,” Wellsboro is a Tioga County hamlet known for its winter celebrations and downtown shopping experience. Each year, the community hosts a Dickens of a Christmas celebration, and recently began offering Christmas on Main Street, to encourage folks to come and see what the downtown shops and pop-up artisan displays have to offer. Main Street is lined with small businesses offering locally-made products and other specialty items perfect for the holiday season.

Just outside of Wellsboro, visitors can connect with the renowned Pine Creek Rail Trail, a 60+ mile converted rail bed now used for hiking, biking and horseback riding adventures.

See the PA Grand Canyon

Take in the most spectacular views of Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon from atop the Pine Creek Gorge -- where you'll see both Pine Creek and those using the Pine Creek Rail Trail below!
