Share your love of waterways with the Susquehanna Greenway Art Contest

Flowing 228 miles total, the West Branch is one of two principal branches of the mighty Susquehanna River and a meandering and beautiful journey through the PA Wilds Lumber Heritage Region. A paddler’s paradise, this scenic water trail flows through remote and mature hardwood forests, past historic river towns, and alongside rolling agricultural fields through.

The West Branch Susquehanna Greenway corridor is a must-experience journey in the PA Wilds and includes the river itself as well as the parks, trails, and communities that line the river’s banks.
What do you love most about the Susquehanna River? Is it the wildlife you see along its shores? The opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, boating?
We can all agree the Susquehanna River boasts endless opportunities for everyone—whether you are a birdwatcher, paddler, or sightseer, there is something for all to enjoy.
The 2024 Susquehanna Greenway Expo Art Contest invites members of the public to design a piece of art, following the prompt “What do you love most about the Susquehanna River?”
The deadline to apply is Friday, June 21, 2024 by 5 p.m. Eastern.
The winner of the art contest will get their design placed on a water bottle, along with their artwork featured on a sticker.
Need more incentive to enter? Winners will also receive:
- $100 cash prize
- 5 water bottles
- and 10 stickers to share with friends and family!
Entering is quick and easy! To enter, visit susquehannagreenway.org/2024-art-contest, fill out the form, agree to the Contest Rules, and upload your artwork. A separate entry form must be completed for each submission. Don’t forget to include your story along with your art. Your stories help to bring the artwork to life!
*Entrants under the age of 18 must submit a signed Parent Permission Form to validate their entry. Please email the completed form to ajajko@susquehannagreenway.org.
Quick Contest Facts
- Art dimensions should not exceed 5 inches in height, and 8 inches in width in order to fit on the water bottle.
- Colors should try to match the SGP color palette (greens, blues, yellows – vibrant, but natural)
- Entries should be high quality (at least 3.5 MB is preferred).
- All copyrights remain with the artist. SGP will retain a limited license for the purposes of the contest.
