Happy National Entrepreneurship Week! Tap into educational resources for entrepreneurs.
Did you know that February 16-23, 2019, is National Entrepreneurship Week?
The U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution in 2006 celebrating the creative efforts of entrepreneurs and small businesses, noting these everyday heroes “have been expanding and advancing technology and fueling the recent growth in the economy.”
House Resolution 699 of 2006 also points to the fact that entrepreneurs have spurred economic innovations throughout history, ultimately improving their local communities and society overall.
“70 percent of high school students want to become entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurial skills will assist students in the future regardless of whether they work in a business owned by others or run their own business,” the resolution continues.
National Entrepreneurship Week takes place the third week of February and culminates in special events that support entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship education programs.
Here is a quick reference list of some webinar-style educational programs being offered throughout the week (at 2 p.m. daily):
- Monday, February 18: Entrepreneurship Education
- Tuesday, February 19: Libraries & Incubators
- Wednesday, February 20: Entrepreneurship for Everyone
