Celebrating our Partners: Corporate and Workforce Collaborators
Today’s Great Outdoors Month gratitude post goes to our many corporate and workforce partners who are helping us revitalize rural communities through outdoor rec development!
For example, WhirleyDrinkworks! and Citizens & Northern Bank’s support of our youth workforce programming.
Shell has made an investment to help us create an oil and gas supplement for the PA Wilds Design Guide for Community Character Stewardship.
The foundation arms of Northwest Bank and the Collins Pine-Kane Hardwoods have supported our new PA Wilds Media Lab in Kane.
Nonprofits like the Allegheny Hardwoods Utilization Group connect us with timber companies to support local wood sourcing for our projects.
Envinity donated architectural hours to one of our key construction projects.
Manufacturing CEOs and nonprofit trade and workforce organizations and community education councils wrote us support letters for our region’s Build Back Better Regional Challenge application.
We greatly value all of these partnerships!
About the Series:
To celebrate June being Great Outdoors Month, we are highlighting partners throughout June who are helping grow the outdoor recreation economy here in the PA Wilds to help revitalize rural communities. Our 13-county region is the only outdoor rec industry cluster to make it to the final round of the national Build Back Better Regional Challenge competition, where we are now competing for $50M in federal investment from the US Economic Development Administration. We couldn’t have made it this far without our incredible partners!
