Brewing in the PA Wilds: Bradford Brew Station
Part of the Brewing in the PA Wilds series
You’re sure to find the perfect brew at the Bradford Brew Station brewery and restaurant, located in the Allegheny National Forest and Surrounds landscape of the PA Wilds. With 14 crafted beers on tap, this brewery has plenty of local flavor that keeps visitors coming back.
Since the 1800s, Bradford has been a center for oil production. Kendall Motor Oil, initially refined in Bradford, is named after Kendal Creek, which runs through parts of this town. Bradford Brew Station pays homage to the region’s oil heritage, with beers named Black Gold Boch, Tar Pit Porter, Raspberry Wellhouse Wheat, and Darkened Crude Oatmeal Stoat. It’ll feel like you struck black gold! The bar and restaurant is even decorated with oil industry memorabilia, allowing you to fully appreciate the history and culture of the region.
The Bradford Brew Station was also the first legal brewery to open in Bradford since 1945. Founded in 2019, the brewery celebrates innovation and entrepreneurship in rural Pennsylvania.
Bradford Brew Station’s website encourages visitors to truly explore the region and immerse themselves in the culture. Their Plan Your Visit section of the website gives in-depth info about places to visit, such as the Zippo/Case Museum, Kinzua Skywalk, Marilla Reservoir, and the Marilyn Horne Museum.
The 14 beers on tap include anything from ales and lagers to pilsner and IPAs, along with porters, stouts, and even ciders.
Want to try multiple kinds? Grab a flight and spend an evening finding your favorite brew.
Not feeling like a beer? They also offer local wines and spirits for those who want something different.
The combined brewery and restaurant also offers a wide variety of food. Common pub foods like wings and burgers are favorites for many customers, but they also serve salads, wraps, and delicious dessert crocks.
Want to try something a little quirky but delicious? One of the unique offerings, the Chicken Bacon Waffle Sandwich, is a favorite sweet-and-savory combo!
When the weather is nice, feel free to bring Fido along with you. A pet-friendly patio allows your furry friends to come along with you as you enjoy a brew.
The space can also be rented out for private events.
Bradford Brew Station commonly hosts live music nights and events for the community. Check their social media for more information about upcoming events. The brewery is also proud to say they were nominated as one of the “Best Live Music Venues” in Pennsylvania by the readers of Breweries In PA.
