Love birdwatching? Consider participating in the 2021 Great Backyard Bird Count! This free and fun citizen science program takes place Friday, February 12 – Monday, February 15.

To participate, look out your window and see what birds are in your backyard or at your feeder(s) during at least one of the four days of the count and submit your observations.

Your data is important to the bird population snapshot that biologists analyze, which makes a difference in bird conservation. Typically, there are about 15 – 20 common species of birds that will visit your feeders and yards during the count. The Great Backyard Bird Count website offers resources to help you get started.
