About Lycoming County

It’s a place where wilderness suddenly gives way to the bright lights of a city.  It’s a place where seekers of culture meet outdoor enthusiasts.  It’s a place where historical preservation and modern innovation merge in a seamless transition.  This is Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, one of the most unique vacation destinations in the world.

You can take a stroll down historic Millionaires’ Row; referred to by Victorian Homes Magazine as "Pennsylvania’s Mother lode for Victorian architecture". On your visit you’ll see brightly tree-lined streets hanging like a backdrop behind the estates left from a time when timber ruled the area.

The Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum traces the history and development of Little League Baseball and Softball from its roots in Williamsport to around the world. Marvel over the artifacts, enjoy the interactive exhibits, and discover the many leaders from all walks of life who learned values from Little League and are now enshrined in the Hall of Excellence.  See how fast you can get from home plate to first base on the running track.  View yourself pitching and batting on the instant replay video monitors.  *The Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum is undergoing an extensive exhibit update and interior renovation project. Plans are to reopen the museum on June 6, 2013, the start of a year of celebration leading to the 75th anniversary of the first Little League game. Although the museum will be temporarily closed, please still plan to visit the Little League Complex.

Cruise the Susquehanna River aboard the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat.  The Hiawatha is an authentic replica of the type of riverboat that plied the waters of the Susquehanna during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  Enjoy one of the many cruises available including the informational public cruise, dinner cruise, wing night cruise, murder mystery cruise and many more.  Celebrate on the water and rent the Hiawatha for a private party or meeting.
