Clear Creek State Park provides ample opportunities for outdoor recreation including 25-miles of well-maintained trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Located in the center of the park is an impressive group of enormous boulders created by glaciers. This “rock city”, known as Beartown Rocks, is one of the area’s best kept secrets.
Known as the Weather Capital of the World, Punxsutawney, PA is charming little town decorated with 32 larger-than-life fiberglass statues, called Phantastic Phil. You can get a map and visit each one scattered throughout the town. On your way, visit Phil’s Burrow and meet the world famous weather prognosticator, Punxsutawney Phil and his family. Stop at Gobbler’s Knob for a photo op where Phil makes his annual prediction every February 2nd.

One of the most scenic rail trails in all of Pennsylvania is the Clarion/Little Toby Rail Trail. It stretches 18 miles from Ridgway to Brockway, winding along the Clarion River and Little Toby Creek. You will enjoy spectacular river vistas, mountain scenery and wildlife. The trail has an easy grade and is surfaced with crushed limestone. The Jefferson County trailhead is located in Brockway at Taylor Park.
