About Clinton County

Clinton County is 900 square miles located in north central Pennsylvania offering hundreds of thousands of acres of state forests, parks, game lands, and the West Branch Susquehanna River.

Enjoy the panoramic view from 1,300 feet above the river valley while hang gliding, explore the plane that taught the world to fly, and test your ability at some of the most extreme outdoor endurance challenges including the Bald Eagle Megatransect.

In 1830, Woolrich, "the original outdoor clothing company", began supplying quality clothing items to those who depended on rugged, durable outdoor clothing including the "Pennsylvania Tuxedo" - red and black patterned wool jacket and hat.

The Piper Aviation Museum is located adjacent to the William T. Piper Memorial Airport.  The museum is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Piper Aircraft - 'the plane that taught the world to fly' - and displaying many of those archives for public viewing. The museum also offers an online and in-store Gift Shop with a variety of items related to Piper Aviation.

Enjoy a truly unique theatrical experience in an 1800s rustic barn converted to entertain approximately 1,000 per week.  The Millbrook Playhouse has featured popular full-scale performances since 1963 in a rustic barn atmosphere.

Downtown Lock Haven is represented by merchants and community leaders that are dedicated to making downtown come to life. Many events are sponsored throughout the year to bring people back to small- town America. Located along the picturesque West Branch Susquehanna, Lock Haven offers a historic backdrop to a revitalized Main Street business district.

Hyner View State Park features a scenic vista overlooking the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and is a favorite spot for hang gliding. This is one of the nicest scenic vistas in Pennsylvania state parks. You can see for miles upstream and downstream over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and surrounding mountains.

The Nature Inn is nestled in the 5,900-acre Bald Eagle State Park and overlooks the lake. The inn focuses on outdoor recreation and stewardship, making maximum use of green building technologies, while serving as a premier interpretive facility for bird watching.
