Snowmobiling
The state parks and forests in our region offer hundreds of acres of snowmobile trails to explore. There are scenic trails through the woods, straightaway runs on roadways, and large, open spaces.
Trails are usually wide, well-groomed, well-marked and easy to drive, so they’re perfect for snowmobilers and riders of almost every age and skill level. Along your way, you’re likely to glimpse wildlife such as whitetail deer, rabbits, coyotes, and even bald eagles, which are always exciting to see.
Conditions permitting, trails open mid–December and usually close April 1.
Note that all ATVs/Snowmobiles in Pennsylvania, except ATVs used solely for business or agricultural purposes, need to be registered and titled with DCNR. You can register on line HERE. For more information about registering your ATV call The Dept. of Community and Natural Resources at 717-783-9227.
