Birdwatching
From warblers twittering in the hedges to woodpeckers drumming on the tree trunks and whippoorwills calling out at twilight, there's a lot for bird-lovers to enjoy in the Pennsylvania Wilds. Spring and summer are the best seasons for birding. Early morning is particularly good, especially during the breeding season. Peak migration in our region is mid-April to the end of May. Raptors, including hawks and bald eagles, arrive as early as the beginning of March.
