Things to do

Ideal for the water-lover

Clear Paddling for Miles

The Allegheny Reservoir is famous for water recreation and water-side camping. Water activities range from swimming, to boating and water-skiing, canoeing and kayaking, and of course, fishing. The Reservoir is an ideal place to disconnect and unwind.… wide open waters surrounded by undeveloped forest land.

Splash

Go for a Summertime Swim

Swimming opportunities abound, whether at Kiasutha Recreation Area or Kinzua Beach, off your boat in a cove or along the shore while camping.

Fishing

Cast Your Line

"Kinzua" is the Seneca term for "fish on spear." The reservoir is known by anglers for its trophy walleye and trout, and bass, catfish, muskellunge and northern pike are not uncommon.

Boating

Boater's Paradise

From motorized boating and jet skis, to paddling... from water skiing to fishing... the Allegheny Reservoir is truly a boater's paradise and playground for water recreation. Development along the reservoir is limited to marinas, so the vast majority of your land views will be of endless shoreline and forest.
